| I am sure mark is gonna hate my source BUT...haha I didn't get a chance to do my usual Earth Day stuff as Anthony had to work 1,000 hours and I just had no energy. The only show I taped was Oprah and I sent some online links to you the other day. The kids and I try to respect the earth daily, not just on earth day and we hope you do the same Here are some resources from Oprahs site. I have to admit, 99% of the show was WELL done and totally information. I wish there was a link where you could watch Sandra Bulluck and that other gal online. It was not only funny as heck but they each have a passion for green. Also totally understand that everyone can NOT afford to eat organic, buy biodegradable and what not all the time. Yet they give wonderful ideas on what anyone with any budget can do At my house we only use the CFL lights when we can, we recycle everything our town allows, we changed our shower head a few years ago, we use power strips where we can and just click the entire thing to off. We also run our heat at 68 (although I use a space heater at times) and even try to make just enough for a meal of that which we will eat or can have for lunch the next day. Terry is only 2 and he knows that a can goes into recycle and will tell someone else if he sees them putting it into the wrong trash I truly hope that you all just pick ONE THING to do. Sophie Uliano, author of Gorgeously Green, said something so very profound. We (women) are usually the decision makers in the house on such matters. If we all just did ONE thing that would be times by millions. That would have an impact of great magnitude. Then to understand that we are also USUALLY the parent that mainly raises our children, they mimic what they see. I hope you had a good earth day and try to make at least one change a month. Although one this year would be a start and every little bit helps! ---------- WE The We Campaign is a project of The Alliance for Climate Protection, a nonprofit, nonpartisan effort founded by Nobel laureate and former Vice President Al Gore.
